Summer is a time for reading and relaxing!

July 2 - August 15

Ages 13+

What is the Teen Summer Reading Challenge?

The Teen Summer Reading Challenge is a program that encourages reading! Report your reading to us and be entered into a draw for the end of the summer prize. Visit the Readers' Advisory desk on the first floor to register and pick up your Bingo sheet.

You can report your reading to the Readers' Advisory desk from July 2 to August 15.

Bingo

Visit the Library to sign up and pick up your Bingo sheet.

To get a Bingo, complete a full vertical or horizontal line. Once you have a Bingo, visit the Readers’ Advisory desk starting July 2 and chat with staff about what you are reading.

For each Bingo line you complete, you can:

  • Earn a ballot for the end of summer grand prize, AND
  • Play Plinko to win a prize or extra ballots for the grand prize!

The last day to earn ballots for the grand prize is August 15.

Summer Events

We invite all teens to join our Teen Summer Book Club! The Club will be held on Thursday, July 25 at 2:00 p.m. and we will be chatting about the book, When You Get the Chance by Tom Ryan and Robin Stevenson.  Stop by the Readers' Advisory desk to register and pick up a copy of the book to borrow.

We are also offering two teen craft programs this summer: Painted Rock Photo Holders on Thursday, July 11 at 2:00 p.m., and DIY Sharpie Mugs on Thursday, August 8, 2:00 p.m. All of these programs are for teens 13+ and require registration. You can find the registration form here.
