Paws For Reading

At PAWS for Reading, kids read aloud to a St. John Ambulance therapy dog (and her handler) in our 1st Floor Program Room. These dogs are the best and most patient listeners – perfect for helping young readers feel comfortable and confident.

For Beginner/Reluctant Readers ages 5 and up.

Thank you to St. John Ambulance volunteers (four-legged and their humans) for offering this paw-pular program!

*New* No-Show Policy

If you register for a session and do not attend or provide advance notice, you will not be permitted to register for future sessions. We greatly value the time and commitment of our volunteer handler–dog teams, and it can be challenging when reserved spots go unused.
