Paws for Reading Banner

PAWS for Reading is a program that allows children to read aloud to a therapy dog in order to improve reading and communication skills. Children will read individually to a trained therapy dog (and her handler) in our 1st Floor Program Room where they can feel comfortable, confident — and have fun! After all, a dog will not correct them or make them feel awkward if they stumble.

Beginner/Reluctant Readers: Ages 5 and up

Spend 15 minutes reading to a trained therapy dog!

Registration is now closed for our three upcoming dates. Please stay tuned for new dates for Paws for Reading.
