Comic Strip Contest

Calling all Dog Man fans! Create a comic strip and you could win 4 tickets to see Dog Man: The Musical at the Empire Theater!

Unleash your imagination and showcase your storytelling skills. Library staff are looking for comic strips that are creative, clever, and delightfully silly.

Pick up a comic strip template at the Readers' Advisory Desk, download the PDF, or create your own.  Bring your masterpiece to the Readers' Advisory Desk or submit using the form below by 8pm on Tuesday, October 22.

Library staff will determine one winner from each age group (Ages 8 & under and Ages 9 to 13). Each winner will receive 4 tickets to Dog Man: The Musical, generously donated by MODO LIVE.

TheaterWorksUSA’s Dog Man: The Musical is a hilarious production based on the worldwide bestselling series from Dav Pilkey, the creator of Captain Underpants and Cat Kid Comic Club.

Contest Rules:

1. One entry per child.

2. Entries must be no more than 1 page.

3. Contest is open to children ages 13 and under.

4. Entries must be submitted online or at the library by 8pm on Tuesday, October 22.

5. Entries can include Dog Man characters and/or original characters, but the plot and dialogue must be original. 

6. Winners and their family must be available to attend the show at Empire Theater on Tuesday, October 29 at 7pm.
