19th Century Pandemics
Not So Unprecedented After All: 19th century Pandemics
While we are currently living through what has been called an “unprecedented crisis,” our ancestors were no stranger to pandemics and epidemics. The Belleville Public Library is pleased to offer an informative session that will explore 19th century epidemic diseases, and the impacts these had on the world and public health. Tune in on Friday, June 26 at 11 am, as Virginia Sytsma takes you through 19th century epidemics and early public health. Virginia is not only the Information Services Librarian at the Belleville Public Library, she also holds an MA in the History of Medicine from McGill University, and studied 19th century public health and epidemic diseases.
This free session requires registration through Zoom with the following link: https://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_HELZyiiGQe2K-NlPWB970g
