July 5th - August 21st
This summer we are doing things a little differently again, as we cannot offer in person programs. So once again we are going virtual!
Register for the Summer Reading Club HERE. You can also call us all 613-968-6731 ext. 2035 to register over the phone.
Pick up your Reading Club Kit any time after June 19th.
The purpose of the club is to get you reading. We hope you find reading rewarding in itself, but just to give you some extra incentive, in this reading challenge, the more you read, the more prizes you will win!
To join our reading challenge, you will need to register for our Summer Reading Club. REGISTER HERE. You will also need to download our reading tracker app, Reader Zone. Learn how to get on Reader Zone HERE. Log your minutes read into Reader Zone. When you reach award levels, visit the library to collect your prizes!
Younger children can track their minutes in a TD Summer Reading Club book (books can be picked up anytime after June 19th). Parents can then enter their child's minutes into Reader Zone at anytime during the 7 weeks of the reading challenge.
Here is our reading program prize structure:
We have been providing weekly Take Home Kits for over a year now. Our Summer Kit will include all the same great content, but with some added bonus activities. During the 7 weeks of the Summer Reading Club, our kit will also include a button making activity. Children can design up to 3 buttons on an activity sheet per week. The sheets can then be dropped off at the library where they will be turned into actual buttons. The finished buttons can be picked 2 weeks after the activity sheet is dropped off.
