What is Kanopy?

Kanopy is an on-demand streaming video platform for public libraries that offers viewers a large collection of over 30,000 award-winning films, specializing in documentaries and foreign films.

No downloading, just streaming. Stream films anytime, anywhere on your preferred device(s) – for FREE!

There are no wait lists, holds or late fees!

How do I access Kanopy?

To access Kanopy, visit their website at www.kanopy.com and click on Sign Up. You will need a valid Belleville Public Library card as well as a valid email address in order to register.

Each month you will allotted 15 tickets for FREE with your library card. Your tickets reset on the first day of the month, and unused tickets don’t roll over to the next month.

If you see this error message, “Kanopy streaming is currently limited at my library,” it means the library’s monthly budget on Kanopy has been used. Once the monthly budget is used, you will need to wait to borrow titles until the library’s budget resets the following month.
