Have a Question?

Ask a Librarian or a Material Purchase Suggestion

Ask a Librarian

***19 Dec 2024 – Due to the significant back log of material that Canada Post is dealing with and the fact that most, if not all ILLO depts in Ontario take the holidays off, we won’t be accepting any new Inter-Library loan (ILLO) requests until Mon. January 6th, 2025.

Ask a Librarian is a free online information service provided by Belleville Public Library in Belleville, Ontario, Canada.

The library will respond to e-mail questions that can be answered with short and factual answers.
The library will try to answer you within two business days.

We welcome your material purchase suggestions; however, we cannot guarantee it will be selected for our collections. Please refer to our Collection Development Policy for further information.

You can also ask to renew your Inter-Library Loan book. Make sure that you ask seven days before the due date.

If you need some intensive research on genealogy and local history, please click on Fee Based Research.
