John Dunn has a passion for the vast and rugged landscapes of the Canadian Arctic. Born and educated in England, John graduated in geology from London University and worked in mineral exploration in the Australian Outback. After moving to Calgary, he became a Canadian citizen and pursued his dream of exploring and photographing the Arctic.

John has organised and successfully completed almost 30 arctic expeditions, totalling over 1200 days in the field. For his efforts in promoting awareness of Canada’s arctic geography John was made a Fellow of the Royal Canadian Geographical Society. Not satisfied with 13,000+ km of sled-hauling, John has plans for more expeditions in Canada's northernmost region.
