In partnership with the Hastings County Historical Society, the Belleville Public Library will be hosting an informative talk via Zoom on Wednesday, May 26 at 3 pm. Evan Morton, the curator of the Tweed & Area Heritage Centre, will speak about the profound effects of the smallpox outbreak that happened in the Hungerford area in 1884. Mr. Morton was born and raised in Tweed and was a founding member of the Tweed & Area Historical Society.
