Concert - Carpe Diem "Christmas Around the World"

Carpe Diem String Ensemble presents Christmas Around the World.

Enjoy many of the beautiful, familiar carols from Germany (Silent Night), Italy (O Sanctissima), France (Pat-a-Pan), England (Coventry Carol, What Child is This", The Carribbeans (The Virgin Mary Had a Baby Boy, Mary's Little Boy Child), Christmas Dances from Quebec, the Huron Carol from Ontario. There will be an African twist to the Ukranian "Carol of the Bells", complete with percussion.  The "European Christmas Medley" includes carols from Finland, Spain, Slovakia and Hungary. Our songstress Anissa Nielsen will sing the beautiful Gesu Bambino, and we will entertain with "Brazilian Sleigh Bells". The audience will be asked to join us in sing-along for a few of the carols.
