Update on New Library Software
The Library has joined the Ontario Library Consortium, a group of 28 public libraries that share technology resources. We are now live with Symphony, our new cloud-based Integrated Library System, and we would like to thank our customers for their patience and understanding as we get used to the new software.
**Please note telephone notices for hold pickups are not currently working. We encourage customers to sign up for email notices until the problem has been resolved. Customers can also log into the my account service on our website to check on the status of their holds. The inbound telephone renewal system is also offline. We hope to have this resolved soon.**
During the transition between software systems, we had several days where we were offline and staff could not check items in. As a result of this backlog in check-ins, some customers may have seen delays between when they returned material and when it was cleared from their cards. If you believe there are errors with return dates or incorrect late fines applied to your card, please speak to our staff in person or call 613-968-6731 ext. 2021 for assistance.
There are some new features available with the new system such as email receipts, more email notices, and SMS text notifications. Please speak to staff if you have any questions about these new features.
