"...things I had no words for"
-Georgia O'Keeffe Revealed... in the work of 20+ regional artists
Over twenty artists have produced a piece of art, based on the life and/or work of this iconoclast. The work is exceptional, varied and extremely creative.
Be sure to join us on August 10th from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. for a special exhibition event. “Dear Little Pollitzer” selected readings from the letters between Georgia O’Keeffe and Anita Pollitzer.
"My colourful Friends" - Kato Wake
We are thrilled to welcome multi-media artist Kato Wake for her first solo show here at the Parrott. “My Colourful Friends” is a collection of abstract paintings using acrylics, latex and sometimes graphite on waxed paper. In the artist’s words: “Colour relationships, composition and texture are the primary forces used to create images that elicit different moods and impressions of natural elements”. Each work is 12” x 12” and is named after a friend.
